9. WHAT AWARDS ARE GIVEN AT A KAR COMPETITION?

Each act that performs will receive a score from a panel of three predetermined judges at KAR Competitions. General awards are based on composite scores and not on placement within an age group in each category. This may result in multiple ELITE TOP FIRST, TOP FIRST and FIRST PLACE awards given in each age group for each category. In the RISING STARS and ELITE STARS levels, the awards given are Elite Top First, Top First and First Place Awards. All acts will receive one custom award and individual award badges for the dancer(s) in the performance. Although acts are competing against an adjudicated point system for general awards, all contestants will compete against each other for the Overall High Point awards within their age division. If there is only one act competing in a particular division, that act will be judged against a point system. The point-break for all given awards is determined by the scoring range of that particular competition. Any act that performs outside of its original scheduled performance time, must wait to receive their general award placement until its assigned awards ceremony.

10. DOES KAR HAVE A TITLE COMPETITION AND HOW CAN I ENTER MY DANCER?
